    4+ month contract

    ICS is hiring an IT Systems Administrator who will support the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational function for our Client. This is a 4+ month contract position with the potential to extend or convert, depending upon performance.

    What You'll Do:

  • Monitoring, maintaining, supporting, patching, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments
  • Guide and assist clients in defining client needs.
  • Resolve system problems to ensure customer processes run smoothly.
  • Document business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, project status, etc.
  • Implement system alignment with business processes
  • Additional tasks as required 

  • Skills/Experience You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred MCSE preferred
  • 7+ years of Systems Administration and support experience 
  • Experience with the following: 

    Microsoft Windows Software Packaging with SCCM Storage (EMC/IBM/CISCO SAN infrastructure) Client, Fujitsu, SUN Hardware, Hitachi
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
  • A solid understanding of an operating system; understands paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts (inode, clustering, logical partitions), can use performance analysis to tune systems.
  • A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management.
