NorthropGrumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a StaffElectromechanical Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA.
What You’ll get to Do:
Conduct research anddevelopment in the field of sensor products (gyroscopes and accelerometers)used in precision position, navigation and timing (PNT) applications.
Perform sensor system developmentcomprised of requirement decomposition of the electromechanical system, sensorintegration, characterization and verification testing.
Work under general directionto deliver technical milestones in support of programs while providingtechnical oversight and guidance over the work products of junior engineers.
BS degree in STEM relatedfield (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 14 years ofrelevant engineering experience; MS in STEM related field with 12 years ofrelevant engineering experience; 9 years of experience with a PhD
Experience in ControlSystems with a proven record of simulating complex control systems.
Strong mathematical /analytical experience with the ability of developing closed form expressions todescribe electro-mechanical systems and transfer functions.
Experience in MATLAB andLabVIEW.
Experience with Simulink orsimilar modeling tools for dynamic systems.
Ability to obtain andmaintain a DoD Security Clearance.
Experience with gyroscope oraccelerometer development.
Experience with CoriolisVibratory Gyroscopes.
Experience with MEMSprocessing and manufacturing methods.
Experience in inertialinstrument test methods and procedures.
